Biten by a dog,unprovoked.Any idea of monetary compensation from insurance? Just curious?

A few weeks ago I was attacked by an Akita dog. My arm was biten 5 times with several puncture wounds, no tearing or mangling. I am curious to know what the insurance company is going to offer for a settlement and should I take the first offer. There will be scarring and trauma involved. Give me some examples if anything has ever happened to you! Thanks
